NYLON (NYL) LAY FLAT

Nylon film is specifically designed for the use in one-sided applications.  It is very popular particularly for book covers and dust jackets due to its uniquely stable and non-curling properties.  When exposed to heat, as during lamination, nylon will not stretch or expand.  Accordingly, when cooling, nylon does not shrink.  It is also widely believed that nylon absorbs moisture in the air at about the same rate as the paper substrate reducing the effects of paper expansion on the unlaminated side.
